Mushroom Hill is the 11th secret level in the Mushroom Kingdom. It is a Fusion level, combining the forests of Super Mario World with the Mushroom Hill Zone from Sonic and Knuckles. The terrain shifts back and forth between the different environments throughout the level.
Much of the stage is covered with various mushrooms, many of which can be utilized as trampolines or springboards. There are multiple routes the player can take through the level, each one with different enemies, items, and obstacles. The enemies are a combination of various Robotnik badniks, along with a variety of SMW enemies. There are also several hidden chambers concealed within the walls of the stage, containing extra lives and powerups.
